Welcome to Southern Lakers Floorball
Floorball is a fun, fast and friendly indoor sport which can most simply be described as ‘ice hockey – without the ice’. Launched in the Southern Lakes by a crew of passionate players, Floorball is open to all levels, genders and ages from grommets through to big hitters.
There are two trainings each week, with one in the Wanaka Recreation Centre and the other in the Queenstown Recreation Centre. Teams face off in exciting tournaments throughout the year, which include clubs from all around the country.
We’ve got all the gear and a few ideas – all you need is sneakers and a keen attitude. And the fun doesn’t finish at the blow of the whistle, with players always sticking around for some post Floorball mingling.
